Measured terrain
Mapzen Terrain Tiles, including USGS 3DEP elevation contributions, form the land surface. The terrain is resampled and quantized for a browser-based 3D model.

The terrain uses acquired elevation data at equal horizontal and vertical scale. Aerial imagery supplies geographic detail. Tree heights fit a canopy envelope derived from 2022 USGS LiDAR; individual tree positions and crowns are illustrative. The forest is not a surveyed tree inventory or a claim about current canopy conditions.
Snow, orange morning light, tree foliage and rendered lift structures are artistic presentation. The scene does not establish present snow cover, weather, grooming, lift operation or safe passage.

OpenStreetMap attribution & license ↗Coarsened 2022 Northeast Washington USGS LiDAR constrains the modeled canopy. Cells without valid measurements are omitted; illustrative foliage and close-view tree templates remain separate from the measured height envelope.
LiDAR source metadata ↗The operator’s published names and mountain facts are separate from community trail geometry. Official Nordic map ratings are retained where matched. The snow panel distinguishes source-update time from retrieval time, and camera media loads directly from its published provider.
