Choose the right winter trail.

Washington State Parks describes nearly 37 miles of groomed Nordic trails for classic and skate skiing. The network extends beyond the alpine mountain and crosses partner lands.

The state snowshoe map and Friends of Mount Spokane guide identify winter routes around Bald Knob, the CCC Cabin, Kit Carson and the lower park. Snowshoeing is excluded from groomed Nordic trails and the alpine ski area.

Keep snowshoes off the groomed Nordic system. Snowshoeing, walking, fat-tire bikes and snowmobiles are excluded from the groomed Nordic ski trails. Use designated snowshoe routes and check current restrictions with Washington State Parks.

Nordic ski trail directory

The 35 names below follow the Spokane Nordic 2026 map. Nordic ratings are relative to Nordic skiing. Mixed-difficulty routes need the segment-specific map and signs; they should not be read as one uniform grade.

Additional mapped winter routes & access

These saved source entries are separate from the complete named outings above. Some are shared winter roads or access context; their existence on a map does not designate them for every activity.
