Mountain access / Roads & parking

Know the road. Find your starting point.

A source-based view of the mountain access corridor, from named road centerlines to mapped parking lots. Driving access and parking are separate from the Nordic and snowshoe touring routes.

Read the source before the surface.

The atlas follows acquired road centerlines and parking boundaries. Road width may come from a saved source tag or an explicitly labeled cartographic estimate. Neither is a new pavement-edge survey. Parking polygons retain their source outline; point-only records have no invented lot boundary, stalls or striping.

This is a map snapshot, not a live road report. A visible road, parking footprint, access tag or fee tag does not establish present vehicle access, snow clearance, parking availability or the correct pass for your visit. Check the relevant operator and posted signs.

Named access roads

Each guide retains its source names, mapped segments, surface information and access notes. A named group may cover only part of a road. Unnamed service connections and parking aisles remain on the access map without being promoted into new named roads.

Parking footprints & point records

Descriptive labels identify nearby roads or documented facilities when a proper parking name is absent. Their naming basis remains visible on each source page. Multiple source records with similar labels are distinct objects; they are not claims about separate official facilities.

Lodge 1 uses a different source. Its conservative cleared parking apron is traced from georeferenced USGS/USDA aerial imagery and labeled with positional uncertainty. It is distinct from the 10 OpenStreetMap parking polygons and is not a claim of the full lot boundary, paving material or parking capacity.

Source coverage & what remains unknown

The access snapshot focuses on the mountain’s road and facility corridor. It is not a complete county road database or a live navigation service. A missing parking footprint stays missing; nearby points do not supply its pavement boundary. Individual spaces, painted parking stripes, curbs and current lot occupancy are not inferred.
